22. FC Cincinnati – Nippert Stadium – Cincinnati, OH

Capacity: 33,250

Opened: 1915

Pros: Atmosphere, location, temporary

Cons: Sightlines, artificial surface, uncomfortable seating, shared stadium

Now, of course, FC Cincinnati’s stay at Nippert is but a short one, but for now, they call it home, so for now, I rank it where it should be. Near the bottom. Another shared stadium purpose-built over 100 years ago for another sport, Nippert has been rocking all throughout FC Cincinnati’s honeymoon phase in MLS, but I’m not so sure those sightlines from the general admission end of the stadium or the backless metal benches would hold up once Cincy comes down off the expansion high. Artificial turf doesn’t help Nippert’s cause either. But boy oh boy, does West End Stadium ever look good or what?
