MLS has a vast array of stadium and facilities, some of the brilliant, others less so. Here are all 24 MLS stadiums ranked, from worst to best.

Major League Soccer is in the midst of a facilities revolution. As interest in North American soccer increases and the league image glows up, new grounds are popping up all over the continent.

While the future is undoubtedly bright for MLS stadia, there still remain some arenas that leave a little (and sometimes a lot) to be desired. The league is growing, but it also has some catching up to.

24. New England Revolution – Gillette Stadium – Foxborough, MA

Capacity: 20,000

Opened: 2002

Pros: Um, there’s a lighthouse at one end?

Cons: Artificial surface, capacity, location

Sub-optimal playing surface? Check. Shared stadium with NFL team? Check. Located in the middle of nowhere? Check. Gillette Stadium checks all of the boxes for what an MLS stadium shouldn’t be in 2019. Maybe this would have been acceptable in the early stages of MLS, but for this league to continue to grow and attract talent from around the globe, grounds like Gillette need to be eradicated. Robert Kraft, I know you have a lot on your plate right now, but please make building a new home for the Revs a priority. The Midnight Riders deserve it.
