Midfield and Attack

MID – Collen Warner – FC Helsingør (DEN)

Usually playing as a defensive midfielder, Collen Warner spent time in Major League Soccer before his move to the Loons. Real Salt Lake gave him his professional debut in 2010, with periods at Montreal Impact, Toronto FC and Houston Dynamo.

Warner moved to Minnesota for their inaugural season in MLS and spent two years with the club. He scored once in 42 games for the side, before making his first move abroad for the 2019 season. In April, he signed for FC Helsingør in Denmark’s second tier.

MID – Kevin Molino – Minnesota United

One of the few men to still be with the Loons is Kevin Molino. He started his career in his home country of Trinidad and Tobago, playing for both San Juan Jabloteh and Ma Pau SC before making his move to the States. He became Orlando City’s first signing when they became an expansion side in 2016.

He then joined Minnesota United in 2017. He was an integral part of the squad, scoring seven goals and adding nine assists. Molino suffered a torn ACL, which he has only just come back from, as he aims to help the side in the 2019 season. The midfielder has also picked up 43 caps for his national side.

More from MLS Multiplex

MID – Mohammed Saeid – IK Sirius (Allsvenskan, SWE)

Swedish midfielder Mohammed Saeid started his professional career at BK Forward, having been in the youth ranks at West Bromwich Albion for seven years in the 2000s. He then played for Orebro SK, before moving to MLS, where he played 50 times for Columbus Crew SC.

For the 2017 season, Saeid joined the Loons and started three of their first four games. However, that would be the end of his MNUFC career as he was traded to the Colorado Rapids. The midfielder now plays for IK Sirius in his homeland, along with Alvbage.

MID – Rasmus Schüller – Minnesota United

A box-to-box midfielder, Rasmus Schüller is one of the few still to be amongst the current Minnesota United squad. The Finn spent nine seasons playing in Europe, with FC Honka and HJK Helsinki in his native Finland and then Swedish side BK Hacken, before he moved to MLS.

He signed for Minnesota in January 2017 but played just seven times in his first season with the club. Schüller has since become an integral part of the squad, playing 31 times last season and playing all bar one of the Loons league games so far this term.

MID – Bashkim Kadrii – Odense Boldklub (Superliga, DEN)

Danish winger Bashkim Kadrii spent the majority of his career in his homeland, starting his career at B.93, before going on to spend six seasons with Odense Boldklub. He then joined Minnesota United on loan from FC Copenhagen for the start of the 2017 season.

However, the Dane would only feature 11 times before having his loan terminated by mutual consent. Kadrii has since moved back to Odense Boldklub and scored four times in twelve appearances in 2018.

FWD – Johan Venegas – Saprissa (Liga FPD, CRC)

Costa Rican forward Johan Venegas has played 50 times for his country and spent three seasons in MLS. His career started at Santos de Gúapiles, before playing for Puntarenas and Alajuelense before he joined Montreal Impact.

After two seasons north of the border, he joined the Loons for their debut in MLS. Venegas scored twice in the early part of the season but faded away for the rest of the 2017 season. He then joined Deportivo Saprissa on loan before joining them on a permanent deal this winter.
