FC Cincinnati, developed by Supporters Group, The Pride, have a new app to aid with chants. It is inspiring a raucous Nippert Stadium atmosphere.

The Cincy Chants app for FC Cincinnati supporters, on Android or iOS, will update users in real-time during a game. It will follow which chants are sounding around Nippert Stadium and provide you with the name of the chant and the lyrics to join in. It works at the stadium or during the live television broadcast of the game.

The app scores 5-out-of-5 in the Apple App Store. On Google Play, the Centogram LLC-produced app has received the same recommendation from all reviewers.

It also got a great personalized review on a podcast episode of Knifey Lion Radio. There, the hosts recounted a report from a relative who gave the app a successful run during a televised FC Cincinnati game.

The developers credit FC Cincinnati Supporters’ Group The Pride for archiving, explaining and teaching all the FC Cincinnati chants. If The Pride’s presentation and environment seem really fresh, that’s because they formed expressly to include fans who’d never been in a supporters group before.

Many of their members are perfectly aware of what a big team supporters group looks and acts like. Yet, you needn’t prove yourself to The Pride to support FC Cincinnati and join in delivering this team’s chants. By The Pride’s website, members should join in growing soccer in their region, across the nation and express faithful, proud support of FC Cincinnati. And that they do. Their easily navigated web presence provided a perfect launching site for a leading soccer app.

It’s also a singly focused soccer app. And that’s not a weakness. It’s a strength. One great single repository for supporters’ chants is https://www.fanchants.com/. But this site also offers an app that doesn’t get quite the universal vote of confidence that FC Cincinnati supporters grant the Cincy Chants app. Why? Because it gets confused amid the mass of chants.

One of the fast food chicken chains used to advertise using an NFL field goal kicker. The kicker said he was successful because he focused on just one thing. And his fast-food chain maintained success also by their single-focus: just chicken. It’s a still-successful chicken chain.

That’s why Cincy Chants will enjoy success in the app world for a long time. They’re not trying to deliver each and every chant ever sounded in the world, let alone MLS. Just their team. So there’s the simple prescription for chanting app success delivered to all you imitators. Get to imitating!
