1. Battle of the unbeaten

Two of the four remaining unbeaten teams in MLS square off against each other in Week 7 when the Seattle Sounders play host to Toronto FC. The Sounders have won four matches, while drawing one, and TFC come to town with three wins and a draw.

Seattle have been strong at both ends of the pitch thus far. They have allowed only three goals in five matches, while scoring just over two goals per game. Toronto FC meanwhile, have got the job done by scoring goals. They are averaging three goals per match and have scored one more goal than Seattle despite playing one fewer match.

Both teams may be missing a player due to injury. Seattle’s starting striker Raul Ruidiaz is questionable as is Toronto’s right-back, Auro. Both players would be significant losses. Seattle has a ready replacement for Ruidiaz, and plenty of goal-scoring threats around him to boot. However, TFC don’t have an adequate right-back alternative.

Seattle have gotten a boost this season from Jordan Morris who returned from injury this season. He has three goals and one assist through five matches. But he has not done it alone. Seattle have a balanced team. They have four players who have scored two-or-more goals.

Toronto FC have been sparked in their last two matches by the arrival of Designated Player Alejandro Pozuelo, and the improved play of established star, Jozy Altidore. The two have formed a dynamic duo, which is aided by a wealth of supporting talent. In two starts, three appearances overall, Altidore has three goals and an assist. Pozuelo has also started two matches and has two goals and two assists. This is the match of the week and is not one to miss.
