1. Zack Steffen

Zack Steffen was already considered the USMNT’s number one keeper before Gregg Berhalter’s appointment. Now that he has his former manager at the helm, it’s hard to see anyone else receiving the starting position this summer.

Regardless of his connection with the manager, though, Steffen has shown that he deserves the top spot, having earned a transfer to the current English champions Manchester City, enjoying great development in MLS which is known for being a good spot for keepers to grow.

Steffen could use the tournament this summer to propel him into his new role at Manchester City. A good showing this summer with the USMNT would do him well in impressing City boss Pep Guardiola, who will no doubt be keeping an eye on his new keeper.
