2. Ethan Horvath

Ethan Horvath has finally been making waves this season over in Belgium.

More from MLS Multiplex

Horvath has seen consistent time for Club Brugge, in league play, the Europa League, and even the Champions League. At one point, Horvath strung together three straight clean-sheets in the UCL, posting one against Atletico Madrid which featured the above great save on Antoine Griezmann.

That video sets up like it’s going to be a Griezmann highlight, and seeing the France star open up and take a touch to set up his curling left-footed shot makes one forget that they’re about to see a flying Horvath save.

Some may feel that Horvath has even made a case for the number one position at the Gold Cup. But he is facing an uphill battle. Despite strong play in league play, UCL, and the Europa League, Horvath is still seen as inferior to the keeper who takes the top spot. Still, the competition is there and Horvath will continue to push.
