5. FC Cincinnati home opener

FC Cincinnati secured their first point of the season, earning a draw against Atlanta United with a late goal by Roland Lamah. Now, they take that momentum home with them as they host the Portland Timbers in their first-ever home game.

The Timbers themselves are coming off a disappointing performance against LAFC. The MLS Cup runner-ups lost 1-4 last Sunday. Portland will also be without Diego Chara, arguably their most important player. He picked up a red card late in their match last week after flicking Diego Rossi’s ear.

This is an important match for both teams. Obviously, FC Cincinnati are celebrating their first home game in MLS. However, Portland need a bounce-back game after their loss to LAFC. Through two matches they have just one point.
