6. New York Red Bulls have nice lay-up

The New York Red Bulls were ushered out of the CONCACAF Champions League following a 4-2 loss to Santos Laguna. The Red Bulls scored two goals in the first ten minutes of the match, drawing even with Santos on aggregate. Then they allowed four goals in a span of nine minutes late in the match. The end.

The Red Bulls will now focus their attention on MLS, and fans of the team have a few things to be thankful for this week. 1) The Red Bulls played their CCL match Tuesday night (as opposed to Wednesday or Thursday night), and had a bye in their MLS schedule last weekend. 2) They are hosting the San Jose Earthquakes.

The Red Bulls will be well-rested and should be able to knock it out of the park. San Jose are 0-0-2 this season and have given up five goals in two matches. This is a lay-up.
