Two biggest matchups of Week 2

D.C. United at New York City FC Sun. 3:00 EST

D.C. United scored a big win against Atlanta United in Week 1. Their fluid attack looked great against the reigning MLS Cup Champions. In Week 2, they will go to Yankee Stadium to face New York City FC. NYCFC were leading Orlando City on the road, but were not able to hold on to the win, and had to settle for a draw. NYCFC should look closely at D.C. United’s attack because the movement and the way the attackers interact and move freely is the way their team should be playing

Portland Timbers at Los Angeles FC Sun. 7:30 EST on FS1

Los Angeles FC came back to defeat Sporting Kansas City on national television last week. They face another one of their conference’s best teams when they take on the Portland Timbers this week. Portland will be thankful for the California weather. They had played to a draw in the snow against the Colorado Rapids on opening weekend. Both teams should be in the playoffs this season, and it will be fun to watch these two jockey for position early in the year.
