FC Dallas

4-3-3

GK Jesse Gonzalez

RB Reggie Cannon

CB Matt Hedges

CB Bressan

LB Reto Ziegler

CDM Carlos Gruezo

CM Bryan Acosta

CM Paxton Pomykal

RW Michael Barrios

LW Santiago Mosquera

ST Dominique Badji

At the back, I pushed Ziegler out wide and started Bressan in the center. Ziegler likes to get forward and plays a very good ball with his left foot. He may not have the most range at left-back, but it is better he be there than get caught too far forward as a center-back (ala Lauren Ciman).

I really wanted to get Jacori Hayes into the starting XI. However, I could no justify starting him over Pomykal. Mosquera has been superb this preseason; he has done enough to lock down the spot opposite Barrios. Badji is the starting striker, but expect Ondrasek to play a lot as well. Either could start each week.
