The formation is the same as the one Bob Bradley will use, 4-3-3. I have the attack-minded Mohamed El-Munir playing at left-back in place of last year’s starter, Jordan Harvey. Harvey played well last season and is a safe left-back. However, I like El-Munir’s potential going forward too much to pass up the opportunity to start him.

Mark-Anthony Kaye is my holding midfielder. He is rangy and versatile and showed last year he could be the deepest-lying midfielder on a good team. I have Andre Horta in the line-up instead of Atuesta. Maybe, that’s unwise. Atuesta has played very well and would push Kaye higher up the field, but I want to see Horta get a long look. LAFC’s potential is highest with him in the line-up and playing well.

LAFC have options up front. Latiff Blessing is going to be one of the best substitutes in the league, since he isn’t going to displace Rossi or Vela. At striker, I have Adama Diomande because he greatly enhanced this team when he joined last season. His hold up play fits in nicely with Nguyen, Rossi, and Vela. There is not much of a drop off when Christian Ramirez starts instead, though I do not see the two of them starting together.
