Colorado Rapids

Colorado have a new secondary kit this season. Dubbed the “Black Diamond” kit, the club’s newest kit sports a mostly white look with some cloud blue and burgundy trim. There is, shockingly, no black on the new kit. Yes, the Black Diamond kit has no black on it. One would assume this kit would be all black because of the name, which would be mostly unique (outside of Columbus and LA), except there isn’t any black on the kit.

The newest kit features blue Adidas stripes down the side, a burgundy “C” from the Colorado state flag on the back of the neck, and a whited out Colorado flag as a jock tag. The MLS patches on the sleeves are also completely white and there is burgundy and blue trim on the collar and sleeves. Colorado get a silver star above their crest for their MLS Cup triumph in 2010. Overall the new kit is an extreme disappointment. Just like Minnesota, the club tries to play off an all white kit as something cooler than it actually is.
