1. September 25th vs Atlanta United

With just three games left in their 2019 regular season, New York City FC host Supporters’ Shield favorites, Atlanta United. It may be too early to determine the impact this game will have on the Eastern Conference table but, based off what we’ve seen for the last two seasons, this should be a big one.

The East is expected to be a three-horse race between Atlanta United, the New York Red Bulls and New York City FC once again and a game this late in the season between two of these clubs is one you cannot miss.

This mid-week battle comes towards the end of a busy month for both sides. City have six MLS games scheduled in September while United have five. Both teams will be put up to the test, battling their conference rivals while facing inevitable fatigue.

As Atlanta are once again favorites heading into 2019, it is likely that New York City will have more to play for in this one. Having the chance to gain ground, pass or further your lead in the table will make both of these teams leave it all on the field until the final whistle is blown.
