USMNT abroad: Josh Sargent scores for Werder Bremen and more

Josh Sargent found the back of the net for the second time this season. Find out how the rest of the USMNT players fared around the world.

It has been a dream start to Josh Sargent’s career in the Bundesliga. The 18-year-old striker and U.S. Men’s National Team prospect scored for the second time this season for Werder Bremen.

His goal came against RB Leipzig in Werder Bremen’s Saturday match. Despite Bremen losing in the closing minutes, it was a fine effort for Sargent as the club continue to bring him off the bench.

It his second goal of the season, coming in the space of just three matches. The young striker really does know where the net is.

In midweek action, Haji Wright scored for Schalke. It was Wright’s first goal for the club. Teammate and fellow USMNT player Weston McKennie provided the assist.

Another young American playmaker turned in a strong performance over the weekend in Ligue 1. Theoson-Jordan Siebatcheu scored a brace for Rennes against Nimes on Saturday. In 12 appearances, he has scored three goals this season.

Signings and transfer news

A member of the USMNT U-20 team will be headed to join PSV. Richard Ledezma signed with the Dutch side this past week.

PSV have done well to develop the young players they have brought in over the years. One notable player has been Hirving Lozano. The Mexican international has thrived with PSV and has got the attention of bigger clubs throughout Europe. Will the same await Ledezma?

Reports continue to heavily link Pulisic to either Chelsea or Liverpool next season. As the season progresses, there is certainly more to come in this storyline that will unfold in the next months ahead.
