2. Christian Fuchs (Leicester City)

About two years ago, 32-year-old defender Christian Fuchs told MLS reporter Charles Boehm that he would be interested in playing for a team in New York once his contract with Leicester City expired. With Fuchs nearing the end of his contract this summer, team will be looking to make a push to sign the Austrian left back.

Fuchs is a veteran defender who has played all over Germany for clubs including, VfL Bochum, Mainz 05 and Schalke 04. In 2015, he was signed by Leicester City where he was a frequent starter for the team during the season they won the Premiere League title.

Fuchs has made 93 appearances for Leicester City over his career, however his playing time recently has significantly decreased. So far this season, Fuchs has only made three appearances for the club and all of those games were part of the Carabao Cup competition.

Although the Austrian left back hasn’t played much this year, he is still an experienced defender who could be a valuable addition to a Major League Soccer team looking to build stability in the back.
