2. McDonald follows up NWSL success with great performance

It has been a great 2018 for McDonald who helped the North Carolina Courage in their dominant season in the National Women’s Soccer League. The striker scored 10 goals during the course of the domestic season and her goalscoring form was translated on Thursday with her first goal for the USWNT.

McDonald is a danger inside the box and was able to dispatch the rebound in front of the goal. All 10 of her goals in the NWSL were scored in the box. She is yet another player who can only help the USWNT’s attacking ability.
