Left Midfielder: Alphonso Davies
Alphonso Davies will play his final match for the Vancouver Whitecaps this weekend as he completes his move to Bayern Munich in January. The academy product has been a star for the Whitecaps. At only 17 years old, he has looked far older than his age on the pitch. This season, Davies has scored six goals and provided 11 assists in 30 appearances. He has also made appearances for the Canadian national team and has risen to be one of the brightest young stars in all of MLS. At only $72,500 in wages this season, Vancouver got a great deal from the stellar winger.

Central Midfielder: Samuel Piette
Samuel Piette has cemented his place in the squad in his second season with Montreal. The midfielder has appeared in 33 matches and had three assists this season. He made his move back to Canada after stints in Germany and Spain and has blossomed as a key cog for the Impact. At only 23, his $129,234.37 wage has proven to be a great value for the club.
Central Midfielder: Tyler Adams
Tyler Adams is another promising young prospect in MLS. The Red Bull Academy product has been a regular in the first team and is a strong presence in the midfield for them. Making his USMNT debut last year, his stock has continued to rise and he has been linked with a move to Germany. At his $146,041.67 wages, the Red Bulls have gotten great value with his defensive work rate and his seven assists on the offensive end.
Right Midfielder: Julian Gressel
The 24-year-old German moved to Atlanta in 2017 and has made a great impression in his second season with the club. He got a lot of game time in the place of injuries at beginning of the season and has worked his way onto the pitch this season. In his 32 appearances, Julian Gressel has scored four goals and provided 14 assists. Atlanta United is fighting for the Supporters’ Shield and, at his $111,250 wages, he has been a big contributor to the club’s success this season.
