There were plenty of candidates for goal of the week this time around as the 2018 MLS regular season enters its final week. Here are the top 10 goals of Week 34.
There were plenty of huge games in Week 34 of MLS. From D.C. United to securing a playoff spot to the New York Red Bulls and Atlanta United both chasing the Supporters’ Shield, as well as four teams separated by just three points atop the West, this truly was crunch time.
And there were plenty of great goals to go along with it, with freekicks especially well represented in this week’s top 10 Goals of the Week.
So, here are the top 10 goals from MLS in Week 34.
Ten through Seven
10. Victor Rodriguez vs. Orlando City
A nice touch of improvisation by Victor Rodriguez leads to the opening goal for the Seattle Sounders. In a three-match span, Rodriguez has scored four goals for the Sounders.
9. Daniel Salloi vs. Vancouver Whitecaps
A big match-winner for Sporting Kansas City came courtesy of Daniel Salloi. The midfielder tucks home his finish for his first of the match.
8. Corey Baird vs. New England Revolution
A nice piece of individual brilliance leads to this fantastic goal from Corey Baird. This was the 22-year-old’s eighth goal of the season.
7. Felipe vs. Sporting Kansas City
A great first time hit from Felipe results in this top 10 worthy moment. This was a brilliant first goal of the season for the midfielder.
