1. Zlatan continues to save the Galaxy’s season

Without Zlatan Ibrahimovic in the lineup, it would have been another disappointing season for the Galaxy and one where they would not even be close to a playoff spot.

The 20 goals by Ibrahimovic account for one-third of the goals scored by the Galaxy in 2018 in MLS. That is a staggering proportion for any team and player and perfectly illustrates the reliance that LA have had on Zlatan.

Zlatan was at his very best here, scoring the first goal with a penalty kick and adding the second with a brilliantly rifled shot from the edge of the penalty area after smartly shifting his body to engineer a yard of space to get his strike away.

Ibrahimovic has led this team admirably all season. Now the question remains: Can he lead the LA Galaxy to the playoffs?
