MLS: Top 10 goals of Week 29 – Sensational Zlatan, Wright-Phillips, and more

It was another entertaining week of action in MLS. Here are the top ten goals from matchday 29 including a bit of Zlatan Ibrahimovic brilliance.
This week’s edition of the top goals from Major League Soccer will have a heavy representation from the D.C. United-New York Red Bulls match and includes one goal that is sure to be seen over and over again.
This was the MLS attacking talent at its peak and the quality of some of the goals scored this past weekend are proof of that.
Here are the top 10 goals of Week 29.
Ten through Seven
10. Gerso Fernandes vs. San Jose Earthquakes
Sporting Kansas City demolished the San Jose Earthquakes on Saturday winning 5-1. Gerso Fernandes played a big role in the match recording a brace which included this fantastic finish from close range.

9. Wayne Rooney vs. New York Red Bulls
Our first goal from the D.C. United-New York Red Bulls match is from none other than Wayne Rooney. The Englishman redirects this cross perfectly past the goalkeeper and tallies his fifth goal of the season.
8. Alejandro Silva vs. Philadelphia Union
It was a big night for Alejandro Silva on Saturday against the Philadelphia Union. The midfielder scored two goals to lead the way for the Montreal Impact as they picked up a massive three points on the road. This passing sequence between Silva and Ignacio Piatti summed up the offensive chemistry that was on display by the Impact in this victory.
7. Paul Arriola vs. New York Red Bulls
This fantastic opening goal from Paul Arriola was a sign of things to come in the match. It was a big goal for the recent United Men’s National Team call-up.
