2. Nikolic will score with service

Nemanja Nikolic has been dealing with nagging injuries all year and plays in a Fire team that is near the bottom of the MLS standings. With that considered, it is quite an achievement for Nikolic to have scored as many goals as he has this year.

The Hungarian grabbed a brace on Sunday, bringing his yearly tally up to 14. Both goals were what fans have come to expect out of Nikolic, finding space and finishing off the attacking move with one touch from inside the penalty area.

He had some rough patches earlier this season but that stretch correlated with poor performances from his teammates as well. There have been too many instances this season where Nikolic has been left up top on his own with no attacking threat alongside. The game against Orlando proved the Hungarian can still score goals for fun, he just needs the support from his teammates.
