There were plenty of goals to choose from in this past week’s slate of action. Here the top 10 goals of the past week in MLS.

A total of 56 goals were scored throughout yet another brilliant week of MLS action. There were plenty of candidates to choose from for the goal of the week, with some lovely goals scored from a myriad of sources.

With big wins for Real Salt Lake, LAFC and FC Dallas, there was always sure to be some good goal.

So, here’s the top 10 that made the cut from this past week.

Ten through Seven

10. Jonathan dos Santos vs. Real Salt Lake

A goal within the first minute of the match gave the LA Galaxy a dream start. Jonathan dos Santos first time hit was too powerful for the goalkeeper to handle.

9. Michael Barrios vs. Houston Dynamo

A nice chip from Michael Barrios opened up the scoring in what was a goal fest between FC Dallas and the Houston Dynamo.

8. Santiago Mosquera vs. Houston Dynamo

A well-placed strike from Mosquera goes in off the post and would prove to be the match-winner in Dallas’ 4-2 win. More to come from this exciting match.

7. Nicolás Mezquida vs. San Jose Earthquakes

Nicolas Mezquida’s effort was always heading into the top corner. It was a beautiful strike that put his Whitecaps two goals in the ascendancy against the Earthquakes.
