Rivalry week produced plenty of goals. Among them were a couple of special moments including Josef Martinez’s record-setting tally. Here are the top 10 goals in MLS of the past week.

There were some stunning goals from this week’ MLS action.

From Josef Martinez setting a new single-season goalscoring record to a Jefferson Savarino beauty in Real Salt Lake’s dismantling of the Colorado Rapids, there were some truly wonderful goals scored this past.

Ten through Seven

10. Ronald Pena vs. FC Dallas

It was a memorable first goal for Ronald Pena as he helped the Houston Dynamo record a point against FC Dallas. The summer acquisition should have plenty of goals like this one to come.

9. David Villa vs. New York Red Bulls

David Villa was on the scoresheet for the second time in his last three appearances for New York City FC. The Spanish forward’s goal saw the match end in a 1-1 draw.

8. Jonathan Osorio vs. Montreal Impact

Toronto FC came out strong against Montreal and Jonathan Osorio was a big factor in the win. His goal and assist increased his season total to nine goals and five assists.
