4. Can anyone stop D.C. United?

D.C. United have shocked the MLS as a whole with four wins from their last five matches. No one predicted the arrival of Wayne Rooney and Bill Hamid would have such a profound impact on the club from the nation’s capital. And yet, here we are.

A matchup against the New York Red Bulls at the weekend will be a huge test for D.C.. But a win would put them in a very good position entering September to steal a playoff place.

This is now one of the hottest teams in MLS. They are wanting to sneak into the playoffs and simply hope for the best once they get there. With momentum on their side and Rooney now leading the line, anything is possible. Can anyone stop them?
