1. Season depends on Wednesday

Simply put, the entire 2018 season for the Chicago Fire hangs on Wednesday night.

As they’ve dropped more points in the league, it seems less and less likely MLS playoff soccer will be coming to the Windy City this year. That in itself is a disappointment, and that feeling will only be worse if the Open Cup run ends in the semis.

Now, if the Fire are able to pick up the win against Philadelphia, things change a little. It wouldn’t fully repair everything that’s gone wrong this year, but it will give fans something to cheer about at the least.
