Revolution 5-0 Galaxy: June 2, 2013

This was really a coming-out party of sorts for a young Revolution team. With an opportunity to host the reigning champs at home on national TV, New England and commentator Arlo White seized the moment.

The Revs put five shots on target, all of which found the back of the net against former Chelsea keeper Carlo Cudicini. New England boasted a plethora of young players: Scott Caldwell, Diego Fagundez, Kelyn Rowe, Andrew Farrell, and Juan Agudelo. Bobby Shuttleworth manned the goal in place of Matt Reis for New England, keeping a clean sheet while making six saves against a balanced LA attack.

It was a game that gave New England confidence to turn around their season that had been spiraling since the start. The Revs made the playoffs that season for the first time in four years and began building the foundation for a successful core of youth talent.
