New England Revolution vs LA Galaxy: Most Memorable Games
MLS Cup Final 2005: Galaxy 1-0 Revolution
Tied 0-0 after 90 minutes, the Revs and Galaxy headed to extra time for the second time in four years. Once again, it was LA who would come away victorious.
Yet again, the teams cancelled each other out for 107 minutes before the deadlock was broken. Again, LA scored the only goal off the foot substitute Guillermo Ramirez. The Galaxy man was held out of the starting lineup for his lack of goalscoring and offensive production leading up to the match. Some might say he was extra motivated to produce a championship moment.
Ramirez earned MVP honors for the match and the Galaxy added another MLS Cup amidst New England heartbreak.
