Sanchez Shambolic

Richard Sanchez was the starting goalkeeper for the Fire to begin the season, but found himself on the bench after a few months. When new starter Patrick McClain suffered an injury, it was a second chance for Sanchez to reclaim his spot. However, he has only flopped harder, with last night’s game being no different. He was heavily at fault for the second goal, as he flew off his line to try and win the ball.

He missed completely, allowing Whitecaps midfielder Mutch an easy tap in. It was a mistake that Fire fans have gotten accustomed to seeing out of Sanchez, who often misreads situations, jumping off his line for no reason. It’s a real shame, as many thought Sanchez could’ve been the starting keeper for the Fire for years to come. Sadly, at this point, Fire fans will just have to hope McClain is able to return as soon as possible.
