2. Atlanta can be great

Atlanta’s second goal showcases just how great the team can be (more on that in the next slide). It is impressive that the team is doing well, especially without being at full strength. It is even more impressive that the team is not at full strength, but is successful regardless. When the team is firing on all cylinders, they are almost unstoppable.

The club is missing two of its best players, Darlington Nagbe and Greg Garza. Both will be out for the next few months, but that isn’t slowing down the team. Mikey Ambrose and Chris McCann are replacing Garza well, and Julian Gressel is handling Nagbe’s responsibilities for the time being. Help is on the way though, with Eric Remedi expected to join the team in the next few weeks. He will play defensive midfield in place of Nagbe and will assist in the depth of the midfield.

Atlanta’s depth is a testament to just how good this team can be. The club is already playing well without two if its starters, but haven’t missed a beat. With depth like Gressel, McCann, and Ambrose, the team is able to succeed regardless. Now, Remedi is on the way to reinforce that depth. It will be interesting to see what the Five Stripes can achieve when all of their pieces are available and in place.
