Midseason Superlatives

Unsung Hero — Jalil Anibaba

His defensive contributions have led to the Revs success this season. He is one of the top shot-blockers in the game and his explosiveness is comparable to former Revs’ defender A.J. Soares.

Defensive MVP — Matt Turner

A no-brainer. He has been a rock in goal and despite his team’s defensive lapses at times, Turner has come up big and has kept the Revs in every game this season.

Offensive MVP — Teal Bunbury

Hard to argue with 10 goals. Bunbury is enjoying his bounce-back season, putting up career numbers and finally sprouting into the striker New England hoped he would become.

Newcomer of the Year — Cristian Penilla & Wilfried Zahibo

A tie! Penilla has been the creative genius behind the offense while Zahibo has helped run the high-press system defensively. Some excellent additions for New England this year.
