It’s hard to believe but the 2018 MLS season is already halfway over for the New England Revolution.

With 17 games in the books, the Revs have exceeded expectations for the most part, occupying fifth place in the Eastern Conference. With tons of new faces blending together nicely with veteran core players, this Revs team could be in a position to do something special.

Let’s take a look at how every player has fared so far this year. And at the end, we’ll do some superlatives as well. To kick things off, we begin with the keepers.

Goalkeepers

9.0. After entering preseason camp as the incumbent third-string, Turner surprisingly won the starting job. The decision turned out to be correct as the now 24-year-old has yet to give up his role. Turner has garnered league-wide attention for his heroic saves, anchoring a back-line that has looked unsturdy at times. He has been one of the biggest reasons why New England is in the position they are currently as he continues to grow as a player and leader. At times, his positioning has been questionable but not as of late. Could an international call-up be coming soon for Turner?. GK. New England Revolution. MATT TURNER

BRAD KNIGHTON. N/A. Knighton has handled the backup duties for most of the season, only playing in the Revs’ 3-2 loss in the US Open Cup. In that game, Knighton played fine and put in enough work to help New England win had it not been for the team’s complacent and casual play on defense. As a veteran and former starter, Knighton is a good presence to have on the bench and in the locker room.. GK. New England Revolution
