Toronto FC leaves Pennsylvania with a victory as they beat the Philadelphia Union 2-0. Take a look at a few of the minutes that mattered from the game.

Philadelphia Union hosted Toronto FC, who have been struggling lately, in Friday night MLS action. It looked like the TFC of last season decided to show up, as they were the better team all night.

A few blunders at the back gave the Union a few chances but overall, the Reds were the dominant side. From Jonathan Osorio nabbing a brace to some excellent saves by Alex Bono it was a great team performance. Even Michael Bradley put in a better performance than recently.

The following are are just a few minutes from the game that either changed the outcome or were just too good not to share.

13th Minute: Bono with a massive save. Alex Bono shuts down Fabrice Picault on a breakaway. A quick goal by Philadelphia could have completely flipped the way this game turned out but Bono stood tall. Bono had a few big saves but this one had to have been the biggest as it kept the game level early on.

19th Minute: Jonathan Osorio keeps his strong season going. After leaving the last game with an injury, Osorio comes back and puts away the first goal of the game. I’d be remiss if I didn’t mention the gorgeous pass from Victor Vazquez. The midfielder puts the ball right between two defenders and onto Osorio’s foot, who makes no mistake and puts it into the back of the net.

79th Minute: Oso’s got the sauce! Osorio seals the game with a late goal to give TFC a two-goal cushion. The goal is only possible after a careless throw in that Giovinco cleverly intercepts and puts it right to Osorio who puts it in the back of the net for the second time of the night.

Toronto FC bounce back in a big way and keep their playoff hopes alive. There was still hesitation late in the game as a collapse wouldn’t have been unheard of but thankfully they avoided another letdown.

Man of the Match

Although Osorio and Giovinco both could have been in this spot I have to give it to Victor Vazquez. His passing and play in the midfield were really what pushed Toronto to victory.
