NEW YORK, NEW YORK – April 11: Patrick Vieira, head coach of New York City FC on the sideline and David Villa /

377. Even without Giovinco, Jozy or Drew Moor, Toronto FC has the depth to beat other top teams as long as they have actual center backs. Hot take questions about Toronto’s ability to make the playoffs were extraordinarily premature. Local youth product Telfer scored the game winner with countryman Chapman the other attacking standout for Toronto FC.. 3-6-1. Previous: 13th. Toronto FC. 11. team

10. team. 337. Alberth Elis and Romell Quioto are heating up with the rise in temperature. The Dynamo has 6 roads points from 5 games, a welcome improvement over last season. Houston had more shots on target (5) than Chicago had total (4). Keeper Joe Willis was left on an island for both Fire goals. The Dynamo defenders were clearly beaten and will have to need to be more in touch with each other to take the step up to contenders.. 4-3-3. Previous: 11th. Houston Dynamo

Portland Timbers. 9. team. 375. Gio Saverese and the Timbers protect the new Providence Park in a testy game against LAFc. Savarese has the Timbers playing with the flick and flairs of Iberian and South American teams. This is a completely different look from the Porter era, and the approach is refreshing. Now that captain Ridgewell and Co. are complying with Saverese’s orders the Timbers are rising up the table. Diego Chara is the reason LAFC attackers feel pressured in their nightmares.. 5-3-2. Previous: 10th

Previous: 8th. FC Dallas. 8. team. 370. Another home game where the Hoops lost a lead and drops points. The same old song is growing tired in FC Dallas. Having a 2 goal lead at home over a team not known for it’s attacking outburst should result in 3 points. Perhaps it was fitting that there were more minutes on the clock than fans in the frame in Frisco. Lost points should concern the fans. The glaring lack of fans should concern the team and league office. (This is the first negative mention of any MLS attendance, and it is merited.). 4-1-5

7-3. Previous: 4th. New York Red Bulls. 1. team. 373. Before the game a 3-1 win in Atlanta would have been reasons to celebrate. Then came news that prized coach Jesse Marsch and academy produced Tyler Adams might both be departing for Europe. Once the game was over fans of both sides were all frowns. Keylar Lawrence and Tyler Adams coming off in the same stoppage has all of MLS worried, concerned and praying for the best.
