The MLS transfer window is approaching, and the links are running wild. Here’s the latest on Geoff Cameron, Albert Rusnak and Tyler Adams.
One of the biggest American names to surface is Stoke City defender Geoff Cameron. The United States Men’s National Team defender has a clause in his contract that would allow him to leave if a club meets the right price. Stoke will not be in the Premier League next season after being relegated. Cameron would be making a return to MLS if he does indeed sign with a club in July. He is a former member of the Houston Dynamo.
An interesting storyline here is that Cameron would likely be a Designated Player. The LA Galaxy hold the top allocation spot with DC United and the Colorado Rapids in the following spots.
It’s highly unlikely the Galaxy would make a move for Cameron which leaves DC and Colorado as potential destinations.

The USMNT defender would be reunited with former teammate Tim Howard at Colorado and the club would do well to have his services on the backline. DC are a viable option for him as they are still in search of DP’s. With Wayne Rooney linked to DC, Cameron may not be on their immediate radar but if that deal falls through then Cameron could be a possible option for them.
Tyler Adams headed to Germany
It appears Tyler Adams is headed to RB Leipzig at the end of the MLS season.
This is a massive move for the young midfielder and one that every USMNT supporter should hope pans out to a successful stint in Europe for Adams. It will be a massive loss for the New York Red Bulls but one that shows the talent the MLS is turning out is getting international attention.
Albert Rusnak attracts interest from Sparta Prague
Real Salt Lake midfielder Albert Rusnak has been having a solid season in the MLS thus far. Last season he finished with 14 goals and seven assists which marked an impressive start to his life in MLS. As a result, he is attracting interest from Sparta Prague in the Czech Republic.
In an interview with the press, he mentioned he was happy to be leaving for a few weeks to train with the Slovakian national team.

One can only speculate if Rusnak is referring to the Sparta Prague offer his off-field issues with upper management. But it would make sense if he wants out. At only 23, Rusnak still has the potential to get first team minutes on a regular basis with a club like Sparta Prague.
