MLS: 17 Major League Soccer players to expect at the 2018 World Cup
7. Amro Tarek, Egypt, Orlando City
Amro Tarek has enjoyed his loan spell to Orlando City almost as much as the Orlando fans have enjoyed his presence in the team. Back in Egypt however, Tarek’s inclusion is being chided by fans. To his credit, Tarek has praised MLS.

"“The MLS is not poor the way Egyptians see it. It is a very strong and competitive league and has a huge publicity. The fans need to grasp this,” Tarek told DMC Sports channel."
Tarek also pointed out to fans, that at only 25, he was on the fringes of the team through several coaching regimes.
"“My Egypt call up was a dream, whether I go to Russia or not. I received an Egypt call before with Hector Cuper, and Hamada Tolba had given me some advice. The coaching staff make their choices based on their requirements and not based on the player’s condition or his current form with his team.”"
Tarek could feature for the most exciting team in the World Cup, which would raise his stock considerably. At 25, plenty of mid tier clubs fighting for European places may be intrigued, especially at his current price tag. However, Orlando City have expressed to him their intentions to play hardball with any transfer.
"“Egypt have become a strong side. I am stunned by Mohamed Salah’s brilliance, we can make it to the round of 16. My contract with Orlando is until the end of the season, with the presence of a buy-out option and the club told me that they will trigger that clause.”"
