USMNT and USWNT abroad: Romain Gall and Jonathan Amon star

Romain Gall and Jonathan Amon highlighted the week that was for American players abroad. Here’s all you need to know for the USMNT and USWNT players overseas.
We begin this week in Sweden where USMNT-hopeful Romain Gall had one of his best performances for Sundsvall to date. The 23-year-old scored two goals in a 2-1 victory over Elfsborg in the Allsvenskan. Gall has scored three goals in his last two appearances for Sundsvall and is in excellent form.
Elsewhere in Scandvania, Jonathan Amon recorded a goal for Nordsjælland in Denmark’s top flight. It was his second goal for the first team this season.

Additionally, Christen Press continues her impressive start with Kopparbergs/Göteborg FC in Sweden. She scored two goals for her club in a 3-1 victory.

Bobby Wood ended his goal drought for Hamburg on Saturday with a successful penalty kick conversion. This was his first goal in the Bundesliga since August.
Jann-Christopher George of Jahn Regensburg scored in a 4-1 loss to Duisburg. He played the entire match for the Bundesliga 2 side.

- Christian Pulisic played 61 minutes for Dortmund in their 1-1 draw with Werder Bremen.
- DeAndre Yedlin played all 90 minutes of Newcastle United’s 1-0 defeat to West Bromwich Albion.
- Weston McKennie was a substitute for Schalke entering in the 64th minute of a 1-1 draw with Borussia Mönchengladbach.
- William Yarbrough recorded a clean sheet for Leon in a 2-0 victory over Chivas. Landon Donovan entered as a substitute for Leon in the 76th minute.
