Another MLS week of goal fest, another MLS week filled with upset and comebacks. NYCFC has finally lost a game while Seattle has finally won one.

Here are the new power rankings following MLS Matchweek 8:

Another goose egg game from a scrambled attack, another game where the young Union backline look confused. Too many players seemed lost or uninterested. Any spell of possession was quickly bogged down. This fanbase is willing to #TrustTheProcess with Trusty and Real in defense. Not too many more weeks of this same tired tactics will be tolerated though. They roster is what it is, so Curtin must show some skill.. 1-2-3. Previous: 21st. Philadelphia Union. 23. team. 374

team. 371. Last week: 5-3 Loss vs LAFC
Record: 2-5

Ignaccio Piatti completed his hat trick once the Impact were reduced to 10 men. When Piatti is on, he can win a game by himself against other lesser sides. Against a team with the attacking talent of LAFC, Montreal will need to defend with more resolve and determination to bag points. Not many teams are good enough to waste hat trick perfomances.
. 2-0-5. Previous: 19th. Montreal Impact. 21

322. RSL had a man advantage and was awarded a penalty but a home win never gets too many complaints. However, there were mistakes all over the field. Even up a man, RSL could not win the middle of the field. There are flashes of talent that seem to never happen in threatening areas. Mike Petke needs to figure out how to piece his talent together more effectively.

. 3-1-3. Previous: 20th. Real Salt Lake. 17. team
