Red Bulls announce the long-awaited signing of Cristian Casseres Jr.

Cristian Casseres Jr.,18, officially signed with New York on February 2nd. The signing of Casseres Jr. was known for weeks due to Casseres’ social media and highlights from training camp. The Red Bulls released a statement that Casseres Jr. will be a discovery signing and will occupy an international player spot on the roster.

The Venezuelan U-20 midfielder has made great first impressions during his time in pre-season camp. Casseres Jr. is a central midfielder and seems to be a box-to-box player, reminiscent of Tyler Adams. Casseres Jr. scores a beauty at 4:15 in the video above.
