Bethlehem Steel (H) vs Pittsburgh Riverhounds

This match has it all: derby status, avenging a road loss, and two teams desperate for a win. The last match between these two ended in a 3-2 home victory for Riverhounds. Steel is not only looking for revenge but, like their opponents, seriously in need of some points. Bethlehem sits just below the line at 9 wins and 35 points. Pittsburgh is right behind them with 8 wins and 35 points. If either club fails to get at least a point from any of their remaining matches that will be it for that team for 2017.

  • Last time out: Bethlehem scraped together a draw, 2-2, away to the top of the table Louisville City last week. Pittsburgh failed to take advantage by delivering a no-decision of their own, 1-1, at home to Rochester.
  • Players to watch for: Keeper Jake McGuire has been a good stopper for Bethlehem. If he draws the start he could be the difference.
