4- Louisville City FC. Index rating: 41.176. Rank change: -1.

  • 8-4-3, 28/11, eight shutouts, no come from behind wins, 17 road points, four dropped home points.

Last time around it was noted that Louisville’s nine-goal drubbing of amateur side Tartan Devils FC in Open Cup play gave them a healthy boost in our rankings. However, after a dominant month of June they proved they belong at the top. Even without their Open Cup results, LCFC would still hold down the fourth spot. In their last four matches they’ve outscored opponents 7-1, their only blemish coming from a 1-0 loss to Harrisburg City on the road.

3- San Antonio FC. Index rating: 41.600. Rank change: -1.

  • 11-5-1, 26/7, 11 shutouts, no come from behind wins, 20 road points, six dropped home points.

San Antonio finally lost a match, falling 1-0 on the road to the Switchbacks. They’ve still been one of the most dominant teams on the road, having earned more road points than anyone in either league or conference.

2- Miami FC. Index rating: 42.476. Rank change: +2.

  • 12-3-1, 31/12, seven shutouts, two from behind wins, 19 road points, five dropped home points.

Miami have dominated since our last update, winning all four of their matches. They are still undefeated on the road this year, included a 3-1 upset while playing at Orlando City in the Open Cup. They’ve only allowed two goals in the month of June, and will look to keep their cup run alive as Atlanta United comes to Ricardo Silva Stadium on Wednesday.

1- Real Monarchs SLC. Index rating: 50.062. Rank change: 0.

  • 12-1-1, 33/13, five shutouts, one come from behind win, 16 road points, zero dropped home points.

Same old, same old for the Monarchs. It took Drogba, a Sebastian Velasquez injury, and a 116 degree kickoff in Phoenix to end their nine match winning streak, a USL record. They are still perfect at home, and will likely stay that way for a while, but will be tested once again as they head to San Antonio later in July.
