Olympique Lyonnais claimed the Feminine Division One title on Monday as they claimed their 15th championship in the club’s history.

United States Women’s National Team star, Alex Morgan, helped her side to the French League title scoring two goals and providing an assist against Soyaux in Lyon’s 9-0 rout of their opponents.

This was the 11th consecutive time the French club has claimed the title, which is a Feminine Division One record.

The Lyon roster is full of top notch players such as Camille Abily, Eugenie Le Sommer, and Ada Hegerberg. Morgan has been surrounded by some of the best players in the world and it has been a fantastic experience for the striker as it was one of her career goals to play in Europe.

Morgan has scored four goals in seven appearances in the French top flight. She adds another title to her list of accomplishments and could add two more by the end of the European season. In June, she will rejoin the Orlando Pride who are a few matches into their National Women’s Soccer League season.

Only one league match remains for Lyon, as they will face Paris Saint-Germain on Saturday. Despite it being a non-factor in the race for the league title, these two sides are adamant rivals and will face each other again later this month for the French Cup and again in June for the UEFA Champions League title.
