The Chicago Fire struggles on the road. Galaxy struggles at home. Something’s got to give in the MLS when they meet in Carson on Saturday!

The Chicago Fire earned one point in their last nine road games, as they travel to meet the L.A. Galaxy on Saturday. While that sounds threatening to Fire fans, the Galaxy didn’t score in their past two home games. Something’s bound to erupt in the MLS during this match. Hopefully not a 0-0 draw, as there is too much talent across the pitch to settle for that score line.

Current Record (W-L-D) 2-5-1, 10th in West

Last Time Out: 0-0 draw vs the Philadelphia Union

Player to watch out for: Homegrown F Gyasi Zardes returns to available status after an illness last week. Though not a guaranteed starter, he adds an exciting scoring threat as a sub. He is getting scouted by European clubs.

Why they win: The players get the scheme right up front. The new era of the Galaxy finally begins.

Why they won’t: Confusion reigns with a team that hasn’t come together yet, just enough that there’s another draw at home.

Predicted Starting XI (4-2-3-1):

Chicago Fire

Current Record (W-L-D): 3-3-2, 7th in East

Last Time Out: 2-1 loss to the NY Red Bulls.

Player to Watch out for: Bastien Schweinsteiger, the passing specialist. Fans can find no better workshop to attend on midfield excellence than a game staring this midfielder.

Why they win: The team moves like a flock through the midfield. They show better than any other road trip this season and they effectively use the tools everyone knows they have.

Why they won’t: Schweinsteiger falls below 80% passing accuracy as they meet a spirited defense and well-defended Galaxy goal.

Predicted Starting XI (4-3-3 Defensive):
