6. Diego Valeri – Portland Timbers – Last Week: 4th

Valeri was out for the Timbers crucial matchup against FC Dallas, so, therefore, slips down the rankings due to the fact his teammate Adi, and Revolution Juan Agudelo had strong weeks.  Valeri will settle back into the top five once the season gets into the full swing of things.

5. Juan Agudelo– New England Revolution – Last Week: Not Ranked

Agudelo is having a huge bounce-back season and we’re only nine weeks into the MLS season. Once billed as the next prodigal American soccer player Agudelo went through some rough spells, but has found his scoring touch again this season.  The American has scored six times on the season including another brace over the weekend in the Revolutions 3-3 tie with the Seattle Sounders.
