8. Clint Dempsey – Seattle Sounders – Last Week: 8th

Dempsey didn’t score in the Sounders 3-3 draw with the New England Revolution, but he played a key part.  When Dempsey is on the field the Sounders are a totally different team.  While they have had their up-and-downs to start the season they seem to be rounding off into fine form and are starting to look like the Champs of last year.

7. David Villa – New York City FC – Last Week: 7th

Villa doesn’t get the same recognition he got when he was playing overseas.  He’s not the face of the MLS like Giovinco, or Schweinsteiger right now.  He’s taken a backseat to the stars in a sense, and has continued to produce game in and game out.  The Spaniard is quietly having a strong start to the MLS season and the Bronx Blues will hope he keeps it up for the rest of the season.
