The LA Galaxy look to get out of 10th place in the Western Conference as they take on last place in Eastern Conference Philadelphia Union.

Last week was a week for both sides to forget. The Galaxy was handed an embarrassing loss at the hands of the Seattle Sounders, losing 3-0 at home. The Philadelphia Union, on the other hand, went up 3-0 at home against the Montreal Impact but gave up three second half goals to end the night with a 3-3 draw. Both sides would love to claim all three points tonight to move up the table.

  • Current Record (W-L-D): 2-5-0
  • Last Time Out: 3-0 Loss against Seattle Sounders
  • Player to Watch Out For: Gyasi Zardes. Zardes has obviously returned from injury but is still not at the level he was at when he first went out injured last season. This could be the perfect game for him to start shining again as the Philadelphia Union have yet to win a game this season
  • Why They Win: LA is looking to redeem themselves after last week’s embarrassment. They have enough attacking talent with Alessandrini and dos Santos to really hurt Union’s backline.
  • Why They Won’t: LA looked extremely vulnerable last week against the Sounders and really didn’t have much going forward. LA is going to have to work on connecting with their front line if they are going to win this game.

  • Current Record (W-L-D): 0-4-3
  • Last Time Out: 3-3 Draw against Montreal Impact
  • Player to Watch Out For: Roland Alberg. Alberg played wonderfully in the first half against the Montreal Impact last week. Look for him to try and recreate that performance.
  • Why They Win: The Galaxy’s biggest weakness is their midfield. If the midfield five of the Union can overwhelm them, Philadelphia could make easy pickings of LA.
  • Why They Won’t: Philadelphia haven’t won a game all season and in LA throughout their time in the MLS, the Union have only won once. It looks like now the side just doesn’t know how to win, a mentality that you can’t have going up against the LA Galaxy.
