Lyon’s win on Sunday will setup a French Cup final against Paris Saint-Germain, who are third in the Feminine Division 1. A win in the final would give Lyon their sixth French Cup title in club history.
On Saturday, Morgan and Lyon will be back in action as they face Manchester City in the UEFA Champions League semifinals. Fellow USWNT member, Carli Llyod, will also be featured as she is a member of the English club. The second leg of the semifinal will played the following Saturday.
In June, Morgan is expected to return to the Orlando Pride, as the National Women’s Soccer league kicked off the 2017 season this past weekend. The Florida club fell 2-0 to the Portland Thorns this past Saturday. There is much anticipation for what could be a deadly duo of Marta and Morgan leading the Pride attack in 2017, as both players have the potential to devastate defenses.
