Week 6 Round Up & Week 7 Tips:

Well it is safe to say week six had some surprises when it came to my doubts of New England… The Revolution silenced all critics and brought the high flying Houston Dynamo down to Earth in a 2-0 home win. NE’s defense managed to silence Cubo Torres for the first time this season and things are looking up for Jay Heaps men for the time being.

Meanwhile Philadelphia continues their shocking start to 2017 by taking a 3-1 home loss to Portland, the MLS league leaders with 13 points. More importantly Diego Valeri and Fanendo Adi continue to wreak havoc together like never before. If you do not have either of these point machines on your team what are you waiting for!?

Lastly, Sporting Kansas City finally looked like a fully dominant force against Colorado Rapids who unmistakably were missing recently traded captain, Sam Cronin. Gerso, Dwyer, Medranda, and Opara are all names that MLS Fantasy owners need to be on the prowl for. Medranda is the highest earning defender in MLS fantasy so far this season with 41 points, so get on the hype train!

For week seven, you’re going to want to bet on another Orlando win at home with Jonathan Spector leading the backline. Joe Bendik has been a bit underrated this season earning 25 points so far for Orlando. You might be betting on a comfortable Dynamo win against Minnesota, but be aware that Leonardo and De La Garza are out for Houston which could mean bad news. Boniek Garcia at right back doesn’t seem like the greatest plan.

MLS Week 7 Must Have Players:

1) David Villa

David Villa has you exactly where he wants you right now. He’s right outside the top scoring charts with three goals to start the season and the man has no problem proving you wrong. As Villa visits Philadelphia away this weekend expect him to have his way with Onyewu and Marquez. Even this revamped, but slumping, Union team cannot stop El Guaje.

2) Leandro Gonzalez Pirez

Gonzalez Pirez might be under the radar for the common MLS fan, after a high profile move from Argentina. Pirez has anchored Atlanta’s backline so far this season racking up 38 points this season and that’s with missing one game. Atlanta doesn’t look like they’ll be slowing down vs a struggling Montreal side, so Pirez should be a must have for match week seven.

3) Diego Valeri

Portland at home you say? El Capitan, Diego Valeri, expects all of you to choose and captain him! MLS early season MVP so far the Argentinian playmaker is setting MLS on fire. With the help of Blanco, Nagbe, and Adi this season there is no stopping Valeri. Valeri is a must have on all teams.
