MLS Injury Update: Week 5 – Who’s Fit and Who’s Out?

Western Conference
Colorado Rapids
Colorado Rapids defender Eric Miller (hamstring) and midfielder Marlon Hairston (leg) join Axel Sjoberg and John Berner on the treatment table.
Out: Eric Miller (hamstring injury), Marlon Hairston (leg injury), Axel Sjoberg (hamstring surgery, May return), John Berner (wrist injury)
FC Dallas
Anibal Chala, Mauro Diaz, and Ryan Hollingshead are still on the injury list for FC Dallas.
Out: Anibal Chala (sports hernia surgery, April return), Mauro Diaz (Achilles tendon tear), Ryan Hollingshead (neck injury)
Houston Dynamo
24-year-old defender George Malki picked up an ACL tear in training towards the middle of March and is out for the rest of the season. Spanish centre-back Agus is also out for Houston Dynamo with a problem in his left hamstring, while Romell Quioto and Joe Willis are doubts for the New York Red Bulls game this weekend.
Doubtful: Romell Quioto (shoulder injury), Joe Willis (knee injury)
Out: George Malki (torn ACL, 2018 return), Agustin Garcia Iniguez (left hamstring)
LA Galaxy
Other first team players Giovani dos Santos, Ashley Cole and Gyasi Zardes are all questionable inclusions for LA’s visit of the Vancouver Whitecaps this weekend.
Doubtful: Giovani dos Santos (hamstring strain), Ashley Cole (calf strain), Gyasi Zardes (knee surgery)
Out: Sebastian Lletget (foot surgery, September return) Robbie Rogers (ankle injury)
Minnesota United
Joseph Greenspan and Patrick McLain are both ruled out of Minnesota United’s home game against Real Salt Lake with concussions. This means four players are on the sidelines for the expansion side, which includes two goalkeepers.
Out: Joseph Greenspan (concussion), Patrick McLain (concussion), John Alvbage (knee laceration), Bernardo Anor (hamstring injury)
Portland Timbers
Both Liam Ridgewell and Vytas have missed out on the last three Portland Timbers games due to injuries, and are still doubtful for the home game against New England Revolution.
Doubtful: Vytautas Andriuškevičius (calf strain), Liam Ridgewell (foot injury)
Out: Gbenga Arokoyo (Achilles tendon tear, 2018 return)
