MLS TV Schedule: Week 5 Headlined by Friday Doubleheader
The league is back in full swing with weekend, including two great Friday night matches. A look at the MLS TV schedule for week five.
As we’ve noted in weeks past, the MLS has been slowly scaling back to national TV games. But after a week four with only a few teams in action, the MLS TV schedule is back in full swing.
20 teams, including three nationally televised matches, stretched over three days. Here is a look at the weekend ahead.
Friday Night Doubleheader
- 7:30 pm ET – Sporting KC at Toronto FC
- FS1, TSN4, MLS LIVE, FOX Deportes
- 10:00 pm ET – Atlanta United at Seattle Sounders

First up is Toronto’s home opener with both Gio and Jozy expected back in the lineup together. Then what is arguably the game of the week, an impressive Atlanta side travel to CenturyLink field to take on the 2016 MLS Champion Seattle Sounders.
While Josef Martinez has been ruled out, and Jordan Morris is questionable, it looks to be a fast and energetic game under the lights in Seattle.

- 3:00 pm ET – Montreal Impact at Chicago Fire

Sunday

A great match to end the weekend on. The Timbers were red hot to start the season, but a loss in Columbus, sees them heading home to search of a bounce back victory. Meanwhile, the Revs will be full of confidence having crushed Minnesota and ready to stake their claim as a contender in 2017.
